Setting Business

Terms of Use

Last updated

These terms govern your use of settingbusiness.co.uk and all its calculators and content. By using the site, you accept them. They are short and fair, so please do read them.

Section 1

The Service

We provide free UK tax calculators and explanatory guides. Everything on this site is general information and guidance, not advice. Our Disclaimer explains exactly what that distinction means and why it matters, and it forms part of these terms.

Section 2

Acceptable Use

You may use the site for personal and business reference freely. You must not:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the site.

  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy or republish our content or calculators at scale.

  • Frame or embed our calculators on another site without permission.

  • Use the site for anything unlawful.

Section 3

Intellectual Property

The content, calculators, design, and code on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright.

You are welcome to

Link to any page, quote short extracts with a credit and a link, and print or save pages for your own use.

Not permitted without written consent

Republishing whole pages or calculators, with or without modification.

Section 4

Accuracy and Availability

We verify rates and thresholds against official sources such as GOV.UK and HMRC publications that state the tax year each calculator uses.

Even so, tax rules change, errors are possible, and your circumstances are unique, so we do not warrant that any content or result is accurate, complete, or current, and the site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

Section 6

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content or calculator results, including financial decisions, filed tax returns, or missed deadlines based on them.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Section 7

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page.

Section 8
